The Peugeot 205 GTI is considered by most one of the greatest hot hatchbacks of all time.

Powered by a 105bhp 1.6-litre engine and tipping the scales at less than 900kg, it could shoot from 0-62mph in 8.7sec and had a top speed of 116mph.

To this day, opinion is still divided among motoring journalists as to which variant provides the better GIi experience, with some preferring the peaky power delivery of the 1.6-litre derivative and others favouring the increased torque of the 1.9. However, the Peugeot 205 GTI in either form is still comfortably regarded as one of the greatest hot hatchbacks of all time.

This original un-restored car was first registered on 18th May 1988 to a lady in Norwich.

The original invoice shows she paid £8,400 and is part of the detailed provenance pack. On 29th September 2004 the car was sold to a gentleman in Wigan with a declaration guaranteeing the mileage of 22,400 which MOTs and service file back up.

The car was used sparingly and sorned for several years before the car was bought on 27th July 2010 by the son of the main Peugeot dealer in Colraine Northern Ireland. Again, during this ownership the car was mostly sorned and benefited with replacement of many parts with genuine Peugeot new old stock bringing the car up to near concours condition.
