THE ORDINARY CAR WITH A SUPERCAR ENGINE
Japanese car-maker Toyota had many contributions to the 90's era of sports car. None are more prolific however, than the fourth generation Supa. It was the 2JZ-GTE that really set the bar for this car. Capable of worrying even the most elitist of supercar manufacturers in standard form.

The car was also favoured by tuners for it's F1-level of tuning potential. 1000 bhp was not uncommon with this and famous Japanese tuners like Smokey Nagata took this cars name to legendary status.

The hype surrounding this car intensified in 2001 when the car was seen out-pacing muscle cars and a Ferrari F355 in The Fast & The Furious franchise it became known as 'the 10-second car'
Why THIS, A80 Supra?
2JZ
Performance
Possibly the biggest reason for the Supra's desirability is its famed 2JZ-GTE engine, a 3.0-liter inline-six with twin-turbochargers. This engine is renowned for its durability, tunability, and potential for power outputs of over 1000 bhp

World
Renowned
Celebrated for its sleek design and remarkable agility. It became a symbol of Japanese sports car excellence and gaining worldwide recognition, partly due to its appearances in movies and video games like Gran Turismo
Desirable
UK Variant
The UK spec supra is the most desirable pick of the lineup. This is due to the UK car having the most power - 326 bhp over the typical 276 and can be spotted by its vented bonnet. It's thought that of the 600 UK models roughly half have been modified, making standard examples extremely rare
The 25
Year Rule
One of our biggest factors in finding 'cars to appreciate' is the 25-year rule. Markets such as the US and Australia are able to import these cars, increasing the demand. This high demand, low supply scenario is what typically drives up the values of these sought-after collectibles

A HIDDEN GEM
The Supra came in various forms for different markets. The JDM spec cars came with less power thanks to a 'Gentleman's agreement' in Japan restricting power outputs to 276bhp. An active front spoiler and a cooler for the rear diff were also standard on the UK cars, along with steel-wheeled turbos and bigger injectors making them highly sought after by collectors and tuners alike.

A CULTURAL ICON
Naturally, race cars were born from the A80 as well, and, with distinctive liveries, they became bedroom wall cars, as well as winners. A notable presence and success in motorsport and professional drifting only adds to this cars notoriety. Racing series like the All-Japan GT Championship (JGTC) and Le Mans 24 hours are among those under the Supra's belt.
Owners of Toyota Supra's fall into two categories - the extremists, who know very few modification limits and chase big power and the standard Supra owners, who value a stock car that’s a reliable, safe investment haven.

With the Supra reaching over 30 years old many UK cars have succumbed to rust, crashed or have been tuned to ludicrous power, finding a stock, unmolested car in good condition is no easy task. Our curation team have done exactly that a low-mileage original UK, manual car presenting in absolutely fantastic condition.
